About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Hardware Engineer Co-op to assist in designing, testing, and optimizing electronic circuits for embedded systems and IoT applications. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in circuit design in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for various hardware applications.
- Create schematics and PCB layouts using design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
- Conduct circuit simulations and analysis to ensure reliability and performance.
- Assist in assembling, testing, and debugging prototypes.
- Collaborate with firmware and software teams for system integration.
- Document circuit designs, test results, and technical findings.
- Research and recommend innovative hardware solutions and components.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of circuit design, analog and digital electronics.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, etc.).
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, power management, and signal processing is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with embedded systems and IoT hardware.
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like LTSpice or Multisim.
- Exposure to hardware testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
- Understanding of RF design and wireless communication protocols is a plus.
